Cap- 5-25 cm wide, yellow-orange, convex to flat, sometimes with remnants of veil

Gills- free, crowded, whitish

Stalk- 5-18 cm long, sometimes enlarging toward rounded basal bulb, white to cream

Veil- leaving conical to flat patches on cap and bands on the stalk, white

Spore print- white

Found on the ground under pine, spruce and birch.
