Instructions for Final Report

Due in-class ON TIME, Dec. 15

HARD COPY

SPELL-CHECKED

CHECKED FOR LOGIC OF YOUR ARGUMENT

STAPLED

2 PAGES of narrative (ONE SIDE PRINTING ONLY); 3rd page for references; if you want to include figures or tables or images, they cannot be a part of the main 2 pages of the body of the essay, but rather should be appended at the end of the paper. You may refer to them in the body of the paper.

1)Your final report should summarize your question in the context of the scientific literature (2 things to consider here):

a) What does the science say about the particular topic, e.g. what do scientists say about human contributions to climate change. (you must include this)

b) What do polls say about peopleŐs understanding or acceptance of climate change (1), or ghosts (2), or whatever (e.g. 40% of Americans do not accept climate change)

2) What did you do? (surveys, readings, etc.)

3) What do you conclude from your research? Again, you may wish to put this into a bigger context than Bennington. So, for example, Jones et al (3) reported that 45% of people use their computers more than 5 hours per day.
