FIRST REVIEW ESSAY
FIRST QUESTION SET: DUE 27 MARCH
SECOND QUESTION SET: DUE end of day 8 APRIL
THIRD QUESTION SET: DUE 12 May
SECOND REVIEW ESSAY: DUE 28 APRIL. Same assignment as first
review essay
THIRD REVIEW ESSAY: DUE 26 MAY. FOR THIS ESSAY, select two or three
papers from primary literature that address and do a
COMPARATIVE-SYNTHETIC review. The objective here is similar to
that of previous essays with the addition of assessing how the two
studies are related (for example, you might talk focus on how they
mutually contribute to understanding, on how one supports or clarifies
another, or how their findings are inconsistent; it is not necessary to
do ALL of these things; you decide what points/connection you wish to
develop). As always, you should provide a BRIEF synopsis of the
basic questions and hypotheses and researchers' approaches and
findings. But, also as always, you should devote at least as much
effort and space to your own commentary, comparisons, critique, and, of
course, ideas for further research.
